Marriage and Mental Health Counseling offered at Westerville Christian Church

Hello, I’m Eric Miller, the new Licensed Marriage and Mental Health Counselor utilizing space in the building here at WCC. When Pastor Greg and I began to discuss the potential of me having a counseling center in the building, I was excited to bring a foundation of Christian Counseling to the members here! The timing of this was right because there has been an increase in mental health issues and awareness over the past several years. It’s estimated that about 20% of adults in the U.S. are living with some type of mental illness. I personally had struggled with terrible anxiety in my 20’s and 30’s. Working through my anxiety led me to want to help others and make a difference in the community. I decided to change careers after completing my Masters in Clinical Counseling 7 years ago.

I’ve been married for 26 years and my wife and I have 5 children together ranging from 23 to 11. I named my counseling LLC, Brightstep Counseling based on my journey to become a counselor, which was influenced by Psalms 119:105, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
