Construction has begun!

And without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. 8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

Hebrews 11:6&8

The phrase “I’m so excited” is overused these days, but …. I AM SO EXCITED!  It’s nearly a thrill to know The McKnight Group is on-site every day until their work is complete.

What’s happening in the Worship Center?

The back wall of the stage and drywall in the old WCCares room has been removed. A portion of the concrete platform has been removed to make way for the new baptistery. The platform carpet has been removed, and temporary wiring for sound has been installed. Soon the ceiling above the platform will disappear!

Gray Hall

What a change! The ceiling, carpet, doors, walls, partitions, lighting, plumbing, cabinetry, and ductwork are all gone! The wiring in the ceiling is being cleaned up and organized, and new materials are beginning to arrive. WCCares will soon be in its new home.

Offices

Like the Gray Hall, the ceiling, carpet, doors, walls, lighting, plumbing, and cabinetry have been removed! Openings for new windows are being created, and some plumbing and electrical are being relocated.

Safety First, Please.

Two items to help maintain a safe work environment:

  1. Construction Entrance. The west drive is clearly marked “construction entrance” and will be used for subcontractors, equipment, supplies…and dumpsters! Please help us maintain a safe and secure place for them by only using the East Boulevard entrance. You don’t want to get a nail in that tire!

  2. Construction areas are “hardhat only” locations, so please refrain from entering. I know it may seem safe, but you never know what you may trip over or run into. These areas are simply not occupiable for the public due to construction.

We still need help with tree removal!

Twenty volunteers are needed for the second round of tree removal on Saturday, April 22, at 9a. A special thanks to all who helped with the first round. There’s lots to do to get the remaining trees down, cut, chipped, and stumps ground. Gloves and foot protection are a necessity. Chainsaws and other tools will make the work move along! Please email mark@wcchurch.life to let us know if you plan on helping.

Sincerely, Thank You…
