Conduct Your Own Investigation

Soon we’ll finish a four-week series called “Investigating Jesus” from the Gospel of Luke.

Luke met with first-century eyewitnesses and, from their oral testimony, came to believe that Jesus is both the Son of Man and the Son of God. His investigation resulted in what we call “the Gospel of Luke.”

I encourage you to read his entire Gospel, asking God to give you “eyes to see and ears to hear.”  If you need some more convincing, consider reading one of these five books. The first two I mentioned in my Palm Sunday message on April 2.

Here’s one bonus resource. An article written by Dr. Jim Denison called Why Jesus?

May all of these resources lead you to understand that Jesus is the Son of God. He died for you.  Why?  To once and for all erase our sin debt, as stated by the Apostle Paul in a letter he wrote to Colossian Christ followers.

Colossians 2:14 (NIV2011) 14  having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.

May your investigation lead you to conclude that Jesus is both human and divine. Dying for sins he did not commit so you can live in the presence of God. If you would like to talk further, email me at greg@wcchurch.life
