What a “YES” or “NO” Vote Means for Issue 1
Have you seen the yard signs? On one street corner, the sign says, “Vote Yes for Issue 1.” One block later, another sign says, “Vote No for Issue 1.”
May I ask? What is Issue 1?
Issue 1 is a Proposed Constitutional Amendment.
Issue 1 asks voters if Ohio should “Require that any proposed amendment to the Constitution of the State of Ohio receive the approval of at least 60 percent of eligible voters voting on the proposed amendment.”
If you vote “Yes,” you want it to be harder to amend the Constitution of the State of Ohio.
If you vote “No,” you want it to remain easy to amend the Constitution of the State of Ohio; it doesn’t change.
Simply put, a “Yes” vote means you want to protect the Constitution of the State of Ohio from special interest groups who want to destroy small businesses and remove the rights of Ohio parents to make decisions about their children’s education and healthcare. This includes enshrining late-term abortion into law.
According to Proverbs 6:17, here are three things the LORD hates: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood. No one is more innocent than a child in the womb. God loves life.
A “No” vote means you are okay with someone else making decisions about your children’s education and healthcare.
I pray it is now clear the difference between a “yes” and “no” vote on Issue 1.
