WCStudents Lift Their Voices in Worship

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. - Hebrews 12:28

As our WCStudents are working through the Rooted study this fall, they will have the opportunity to experience some Middle School and High School Worship Nights. This goes along with our student ministry strategy of 4G Discipleship (Gather, Grow, Give and Go). This Fall we’re focusing on GROW through the Rooted teachings, small groups, and Worship Nights. We want students to cultivate hearts of gratitude toward God that they can express through song.

“It meant a lot to me to see our whole group come together to worship Him. It was wonderful to see the person I love most (God) get so much recognition for the great things He has done.”

 - Norah Jean Mathis, 6th Grader

One of our goals is to develop a worship band of students.

For our first set of Worship Nights in September, the band had two student musicians and we have plans to add student vocalists in Spring 2024. We appreciate our Danny Carder for working with our student musicians and leading us in worship.

“Honestly, I have been thinking about trying to play more music for others instead of just keeping it to myself. Deep down I knew this was part of God’s plan for me and I knew it was time to take the next step. It was definitely one of the highlights of this fall and I am so glad for the opportunity.”

- Freshman keyboardist, Gracie Moyer

The next Worship Nights will take place on October 29 for High School and November 1 for Middle School. Students will share stories of life transformation as we celebrate all that God has done in our lives.

I know God enjoys the praises of His people, but I like to think the sound of young people singing their love for Him is extra sweet to His ears.
