The sunshine and warm air are a reminder that summer is right around the corner!

For many of our WCKids and WCStudents, a huge part of summer is a trip to Round Lake Christian Camp!

In 2022, 130 kids and students from Westerville Christian attended camps and retreats at RLCC. It’s not just the kids of WCC who participate in camp; many teens and adults also volunteer during camp sessions.

Camp is a perfect place for our kids and students to learn more about Jesus in a fun "away-from-home" environment. From swimming in the lake to worshiping around the campfire, these shared experiences last far past the summer.

For kids who are new to the camp experience, Round Lake offers Ages 4-6 Junior Day Camp on August 5, where preschoolers can have a fun day at camp with a parent. This day of Bible stories, crafts, games, singing, and swimming is a great introduction to Round Lake.

Miss Angie and Miss Becky attend elementary-aged camp sessions with our WCKids so that kids have a familiar face at camp. If it’s their first time away from home, they will be with kids and adults who they know and who know them.

Those sessions are:

July 5 1st & 2nd Grade Day Camp 1 (transportation provided)

July 2-3 2nd & 3rd Grade Overnight Camp

July 23-25 3rd & 4th Grade Camp

July 16-21 5th & 6th Grade Camp 2

For middle schoolers, our Next Gen Pastor, Luke Borton, is the dean for 7th-9th Grade Camp 2, July 9-14. Several of our middle school youth coaches attend this week as well. We even have some WCC high schoolers who volunteer for this week! This week fills up fast, so register your middle schooler asap!

For any middle schooler who loves outdoor adventures, Casey Shofner (WCStudents Coach) leads the Wilderness 7th-9th Grade Trekker 3, July 30-Aug. 4. At wilderness camp, students repel, zipline, cook over the fire and enjoy God’s creation for a week.
