Middle Schoolers Love Their Moms!

As Moms, we don’t always think our kids notice or appreciate all that we do for them.  I thought it would be fun for Mother’s Day to give some of our middle schoolers an opportunity to share what they appreciate about their Moms.

“I love how hard working my Mom is.”  - Derek Lantz, 6th Grader

“I really appreciate how she does so much for us even when she’s tired, like goes to my tournaments and drives me places with my team and how she loves us with all her heart even when we aren’t being the best kids.”  - Paige Blasiman, 6th Grader

“My Mom has been able to learn from what she didn’t like as a kid from her parents and tries not to do that to us. She understands us to the best of her ability and is there for us when we’re sad, but at the same time she gives us our free space when needed and does anything to protect us. She won’t judge me because she understands I’m not perfect. When she messes up, she owns up and that makes me feel good to know it’s ok not to be perfect.  In the long run she really just wants us to be happy. My Mom has never forced our faith onto us or pushed us into things we didn’t want to do. So everything I do to put myself out there is because I want to be there, not because I was told to. I love my Mom. She’s pretty amazing.”  - Gracie Moyer, 8th Grader

“My Mom is the best mom in the whole world.  She always makes me smile even though her jokes are so unfunny.  She loves me no matter what and is my biggest supporter.  Whenever we have something we want to do such as sports, clubs or classes, she will do anything to make it happen.  She does so much for not just me but my whole family.  I love her more than anything.” - Ayla Stewart, 8th Grader

“I appreciate that my Mom helps me get to sports and provides food, water, shelter, and a lot of other things.”   - Jenna Couser, 6th Grader

“She will drop anything for anyone and make sure to satisfy their needs before she helps herself.”  - Nora Fannon, 6th Grader

I love how every morning she wakes up at five just so that she’ll have time in her day to talk to God. I love that she doesn’t mind driving me and Kevin around to places for sports and other activities. I appreciate that she doesn’t get upset if I do bad on a test and she says that as long as I tried my best that’s all that matters. I love how she tries her best to get me to the places I need to be and comes to watch most of my games. I also love how she sets time aside to help me study for tests and help me with homework questions.  And that she tries her best to get us to church, 678, and small group every week.”  - Katie Morris, 6th Grader

“What I love about my Mom is she’s really kind, caring, and fun to be around. We both like flowers. She’s where I get my great sense of fashion. I also love that she has time to take me to every little thing like the rock wall and singing lessons and volleyball games.“  - Elizabeth Cornelius, 6th Grader

My Mom is the most outgoing and caring person I know. She is always thinking about others and how she can improve their day. She always brings my siblings and I to all of our school and sporting events as well as practices, which you can imagine is a lot of things to drive to. The one thing that makes her most special is her faith. She has helped me through many challenges including moving schools by showing me verses in the Bible and talking with me. My Mom is very close to Jesus and has taught me that when I have challenges to bring them to God and ask for Him to help me through them. Also, another thing that she has helped me realize is that our relationship with Jesus is much more important than anything we could be worrying about. My Mom is the best Mom I could ever ask for and she deserves every second of appreciation during every day but especially Mother’s Day.”  - Jackson Dues, 7th Grader

‘“I love that she is always there for me. No matter what, I can count on her to help me get through the rough times. She has also taught me very valuable life lessons that need to be learned, and she has helped me grow into the person I am now.”  - Lily Head, 7th Grader

“What sets my Mom apart from others is that she’s willing to make many dinners to make sure I get what I like. She’s willing to stop work and come get me from school. I love and appreciate that she takes care of me and will cuddle and watch TV with me when I ask. She will try to help me with homework even when she doesn’t fully understand it or isn’t the best at that subject. She will help me with my hair and helps me put makeup on.”  –Leah Wasch, 8th Grader

“My Mom is my best friend. She puts my needs and my whole family’s needs above her own 100% of the time. She always notices if something is wrong and is always there to cheer me up. My Mom is so kind and giving and treats all of my friends like her own too.”  - Olivia Tadak, 8th Grader

“I love how my Mom is just always there for me when I need her. Even when I don’t do something she needs, she will still go out of her way and do something I need.” - Caroline Waddell, 7th Grader

“What really sets my Mom apart is her kindness and generosity.  My Mom has taught me all about God and my faith. She has taught me to give tithe.  My Mom has taught me to see the best in the world, how to make good choices, to not judge, and to pray and listen for God.  My Mom has helped me grow so much physically and spiritually. Love you Mom!” - Dakota Anderson, 7th Grader

Keep on loving them, Moms! They notice all you do, and they love you for it!
